America cannot solve the problem of the entire world. In fact, most of the problems in most of these poor countries are caused by their corrupt leaders.

Take the issue of water resources, while poor citizens live in abject poverty, drink from polluted water, the so-called leaders possibly drink imported bottled water.

Water mis-management and lack of planning result in most of the water problems.

Hello. Well I won't debate the liberal/conservative point of view because i am done with that. As long as our country is divided the way that it is, nothing is going to be accomplished anyway, so I don't concern myself with it anymore. The ideas about change which Obama favors are probably not possible at this time, and for along time to come.
However, I did find your posting of Red Skelton's explanation of the pledge very disheartening. Listen to it carefully and notice how much we as Americans have lost since he recited that.
Imagine how out of place such an exhibition of the pledge would be if someone recited it today. Sad, but that is the way it is.
