Hi Bro. Jerry. I hope your stitches came out successfully.
I have to stop reading these blogs, they are driving me nuts. First off, there is no such thing as "spectacularly wrong." One is either right or wrong, one cannot be spectacularly right or wrong. We have been over this before, but you just don't resist the temptation to indulge in hyperbole.
Then how come you (and I assume the "Spectacular Right") so god at predicting the future. Pres. Bush announced the victory in Iraq years ago on board some ship he flew onto. The radicals in Iraq are just waiting for the USA and its allies to leave, then, more than likely, all hell is going to break loose (you see the Spectacular Left canpredict the future too.)
The war in Iraq isn't about winning and losing. Unfortunately, the war there was the wrong war as the news from Afghanistan and Pakistan is proving every day. And Obama was right about that, spectacularly. Much of the neighborhoods in Iraqi cities are walled off with concrete walls to keep the various factions away from each other. The Kurds are already responsible for bombings in Afghanistan. Iraqi legislators just walk out of the sessions whenever they don't get their way.
The civil war is probably (please note I don't say this is for sure) yet to come in Iraq. The real war now just moves somewhere else, just like "100 years McCain, and the Bush-Cheney cabal have wanted all along. Trouble is, the Pakistanis don't want us there (neither do the Iraqis) and because we fought the wrong war, AlQueda has spread all over the Eastern world, including Africa. We could have wiped them out and killed off Bin Laden if we had hit the right places in 2001.
I don't expect any miracles from either of these candidates, no matter which one wins. Miracles are no longer happening in America. We just need someone to stop the moral, financial, and political bleeding in this country. McCain is a nice man, but he is tired and worn out. We need change and someone who can work effectively, and is willing to talk to other people throughout the world. Obama is the only one who will do that, spectacularly.
Love ya, Maui Howie
