Jerry - these are all interesting, thought provoking ideas that you bring up and need to be included in our public dialogue. LIke so many issues before us today, we are divided. And, sadly, it is hard to know who is bought off in the legislature by whom. But, if we can as a people get back to some common sense maybe that will help. We live on this gorgeous blue sphere orbiting in a dark universe. For now, it&#039;s all we have. As people we need to consider preserving our basic needs (air, water, energy for heat and cooling, and so forth.) In California this week our state legislature is debating, and hopefully putting forth a bill, regarding water. So. Calif. gets one-third of its water supply from the north. We, in the South, have the largest population and the least water. Farmers haven&#039;t been able to grow crops because of the failing water supply. This is all a big issue and one we have to rely on our elected reps. to get right. Electric and gas and water companies charge folks more and more each month and say they are trying to get us to save the resources. We use less and they still charge us more. The PUC raised our bills 18 per cent last year and just approved another 3 1/2 per cent for this year. So - we need to still use less and less. Now - put this in the perspective of global warming issues - how does it all fit? Are the suppliers telling us the truth? Are we running out of resources? Air? Are they saying they can&#039;t produce enough because of regulations? What about oil? Do we need to consider alternate energies or simply use less?

Like so much else in the world today, via the internet and news medias - too much information - hard to process - too many opinions - Therefor - maybe a little common sense will pay off on both sides.</description>
